Eczema
I saw some eczema and TSW (topical steroid withdrawal) clip that I can't find again. She had horrible itching and food allergies.
As noted already on this site: If you have itching and allergies, you should test for parasitic infections.
If you have any condition and symptoms get worse at night, look for mold in your home. Mold is more active at night.
The clips I've seen suggest eczema can involve substantial sloughing of the skin. This is a normal way the body dumps infection and should suggest testing for skin infection.
Trypanosoma is a parasitic infection that can get into the skin and is under diagnosed. It is better known by other terms, including African Sleeping Sickness, Chagas Disease (in South America) and kissing bug disease (in North America/The USA).
